UnityColor® Mask2match

Mask set for visual color matching according to DIN EN ISO 3668: 2001

 With the Mask2match UnityColor® launches a product on the market which meets the requirements of DIN EN ISO 3668 regarding observation distance and can therefore be used in all industrial areas such as quality control.
The UnityColor® Mask2match are color-coded masks under standard light with a cut-out to allow larger parts to be confined to a specific field. The Mask2match is available with three mask openings, each in four different brightness levels: light gray, medium gray, anthracite and black, so that light and dark patterns can be expertly assessed.
With the mask set, you can easily perform color matching on large parts at the correct observation distance of the 10 ° observer.
 

The UnityColor® Mask2match Mask Set contains:

• 6 sheets with 3 mask openings each in 4 background colors neutral matt
• 2 sheets A4, printed on both sides, mask opening 54 x 54 mm for the observation distance 30 cm
• Surface neutral matt in light gray, medium gray, anthracite and black
• 2 sheets A4, printed on both sides, mask opening 87 x 87 mm for the observation distance 50 cm
• Surface neutral matt in light gray, medium gray, anthracite and black
• 2 sheets A4, printed on both sides, mask opening 123 x 123 mm for the observation distance 70 cm
• Surface neutral matt in light gray, medium gray, anthracite and black
• The sheets are printed on 400g / m² picture cardboard and matt film coated on both sides.
• Each mask has a grip edge underneath to avoid damaging the sensitive surface
• Delivery in protective folder with brief instructions

 
The standard DIN EN ISO 3668: 2001 "Visual comparison of the color of coatings" describes under point 7 Sample plates and reference standards: "The size of the sample plates and the observation distance should be selected such that the viewing plane is about 10 ° to the plate plane. If larger plates are used, a field corresponding to the 10 ° Observer should be delimited with a gray mask on the plate."
