NCS Exterior Fan
A new design tool for the exterior area in architecture
For the new NCS exterior collection 322 colors were composed. They are ideal for the exterior area. The color selection is based on an intensive analysis on historical and modern exterior colors on an international level. Social responsibility, environmental protection, color fastness, self-color and perceived color, materials and availability of pigments were taken into account during the development of NCS Exterior.
Researchresults also proof that the color appearance often changes according to the exterior area. In contrast to color patterns, outdoor colors often appear more chromatical and brighter. The whole NCS Exterior collection was chosen so as the single colors do not appear too bright
and aggressive after the appliciation.
NCS Exterior is devided into 3 sections:
- Classic: 224 bright colors, color dispaying full-screen 5 x 14 cm, execution dull matt, gloss level 4
- Deep: 28 dark colors, color dispaying full-screen 5 x 14 cm, execution dull matt, gloss level 4
- Dark & Detail: 70 contrast colors, 5 colors each 50 x 22 mm per each fan page, execution semi matt, gloss level 15-20
NCS Exterior color fan
- Color fan 5 x 14 cm with 322 selected color tones
The color pattern „Classic“ and „Deep“ of „Exterior“ are the only in the NCS-quotation. They have a dull matt surface with gloss level 4.
