Le Corbusier (1887 - 1965, whose real name was Charles Édouard Jeanneret-Gris) was a Swiss-French architect, architectural theorist, urban planner, painter, draftsman, sculptor and furniture designer.
He is considered one of the most important and influential architects of the 20th century.
His life‘s work includes amongst other things groundbreaking urban concepts, with which he made a name for himself worldwide.
Since 2016, 17 of its buildings have been included in UNESCO‘s World Heritage List under the title „The Architectural Work of Le Corbusier“.

Polychromy Architecturale - 63 architectural colors 

Le Corbusier used color as a central element of his buildings: „Color is just as powerful a tool in architecture as the layout and cut. Or better: the polychromy, a part of the plan and the cut itself.“
His first color palette was created in 1931 with 43 shades, the second from 1959 includes 20 more intense shades. All color shades can be harmoniously combined with each other and thus represent a reliable tool for convincing color design.

The 63 Le Corbusier colors have a 5-digit color number and a name:
32xxx for the 43 colors of the 1931 collection
4320x „for the 20 colors of the 1959 collection
